Who We Are

John Vincent and Kristin Carlson are the husband/wife team behind Sentinel Vans. John is a licensed general contractor and woodworker and Kristin is an artist and teacher at Pilot Butte middle school. They have collaborated on many projects throughout the past two decades. Their attention to detail and ability to think outside the box helps them to create one-of-a-kind, innovative, functional overland vans for everyone. Their background in woodworking trickles into Sentinel Vans’ design aesthetic, which can be seen in everything from panels to cabinetry to smaller details such as folding tables. Woodworkers are known to be some of the most fastidious folks, which is why the quality of a Sentinel Van rides high above the rest including whats behind the walls.

When they aren’t building vans, John and Kristin can be found spending time with their young son, Johnny, in their hometown of Bend, Oregon. The family enjoys mountain biking, paddling, snowboarding, cross country skiing, swimming, camping, and playing with friends and family.
